MLH HACKATHON
✱Major League Hackathon 2024
I participated in the Major League Hackathon 2024 in Monterrey, México, which is the largest in Latin America, where I collaborated with a team to develop a website for the Capital One challenge. We created a platform that allows users to track their expenses for big events like weddings and also split costs. In Mexican culture, it’s common to have "padrinos," or people who offer to buy something or contribute toward the event’s expenses — for instance, buying the bride’s dress or the wedding cake — so this platform makes it easier to organize contributions for the event.
At the same time, we also participated in the MongoDB challenge by creatively integrating MongoDB Compass, which led us to win that challenge. One cool thing is that they gifted us a really awesome IoT kit!
Another highlight is that we added Adobe add-ons to enable sending invitations to contribute to the event. This feature helped us win the Adobe challenge too, and I received a really cool drawing tablet as a prize. I later used that tablet in another project, also displayed in my portfolio, where I created an amazing UX/UI design.
